After a while, the performance jumps ten years forward in time and we see him when he is 10 years old. He is then played by Per Fritzell. The plot jumps forward ten years at regular intervals until he finally gets to go swimming in the mid-1990s. Throughout the play, topics that were relevant during the era in which the play is set are depicted. For example, the 1930s depict World War II, and the 1980s depict mobile telephony.
